growth on forehead

my three year old dauhter developed some on her forehead we initialy thougt it was a mosquito bite. when it didnt diappear over two months we took her to a gp who said she probarbly bumped her head at it may take a while for the swell to go away. three months later it was still ther, then we took her to a paediatrician who thought it was fungal of the bone and prescribed microcidal for 12 weeks. during treatment it looked like it was disappearing, but after it came back to its normal size. he refered her to anothr specialist who prescribed intraconazole (adco-sporozole) and strong and we should be carefull and added that she didnt what was it but still gave pills. we havent started with the medication and our next option is to do a scan. please advise......wont the scan harm my three year old?

What is absolutely essential is to make a proper diagnosis of your daughter's problem. A single scan will not cause your daughter any harm. I cannot stress how important it is to find out what is causing this problem. It may be an infection of her bone , a condition known as osteitis, which needs to be treated correctly and urgently.
