Growth

Please can you tell me where my baby boy is on the growth chart and whether there is cause for concern? He is 6 and 1/2 months old and weighs 6.9kgs and is 66cm long. Thank you.

The average weight for a baby boy of 6 and a half months is 8kg and length 68cm
Your baby's weight and length fall on the 10th percentile line of the growth chart for both weight and length. This is the lowest 10% for babies of his age.This is much lower than expected and it would be best to ask your clinic nurse to see if there is any need for concern.
