growing pains -spine

Hi I thing I was the one that has the " j" -1808 - unfortunately I can' t open it? It was regarding my daughter Judo/swimmer, spine growing pain - we are into our third week of various degrees of pain. Thanks

I am not sure what this is about as I have not come across your question before.I am not at all happy to call any back and especially spinal pain in a child 'growing pains'. In fact I would go so far as to say this is definitely not due to growing pains.There are several conditions especially a stress fracture of the vertebra which is known as 'spondylitis' or a slipped vertebra or more rarely a sliped disc which needs to be excluded in particular. The most likely cause in an active young sportswoman would be spondylitis. Your daughter must be seen by an orthopaedic spedcialist ASAP.
