Q.

green mucus

my 10 month old is teething at the moment. His nose gets blocked up often, especially at night. When he sneezes, the mucus looks thick and green. I' ve tried Iliadin and saline nose drops, which only helps short term. I' ve tried, Bisolvin Linctus and ventese, for his chesty coughs. That doesn' t work. He seems to want to cough up phlem sometimes. Its been two weeks now. and the mucus is still green. Is there anything that will work, or do i just have to wait it out.

The safest treatment for your baby is to stay with only the infant saline nose drops given at least twice a day. You must get his nose clear to stop the post nasal drip which is causing his chest symptoms. If he is not better after another 3 days it would be best if you consulted your doctor.
