Q.

German Measles

Mother has german measles - children vaccinated at 15months with MMR - should i keep them in isolation from other children for the 2 week incubation period to see if they may have also contracted the virus???

It is unlikely that your children will develop German measles [Rubella] as they have neen immunised against this illness. They are however carriers of the virus if they have been in close contact with this illness.So it would be an excellent idea to keep them at home for 5 days after the rash first appeared in the mother to prevent the spread of the virus.
