There are two possible causes. The most likely one is lactose intolerance. This is the inability to digest the lactose found in milk. This is very common and tends to run in families. About 10% of the population have lactose intolerance. The other possibility is a wheat intolerance. Try your son off all milk and dairy products for 7 to 10 days and see if his gassiness improves.Use soya milk and soya yoghurt etc in place of cows milk and dairy products.
