I have a baby boy who is now 7 months,im woried about his weight he doesnt seem to be gaining weight when i took him for his six months vaccination he was on 6 kg i asked the sister at the clinic and she said his weight is normal i shouldnt worry.with regard to his food i give him his formula first thing in the morning round about 7:30am then about 9:30am purity mabele cereal ,formula again round about 12midday rounnd about 2 pm vegies, 5pm to 6 pm purity fruit then supper purity cereal 8pm.

The average weight for a baby boy at 6 months is about 8 kg, so you can see that your baby's weight was well below the average when he was 6 months old. In fact at 6kg his weight falls on the lowest line on the baby's growth chart.I am concerned about his low weight.He is old enough to be eating more in the way of solids now.If he does not gain more weight as you introduce more solids then he should be checked by his doctor.
