Without being able to see your baby it is difficult for me to be sure about her nappy rash.I am sure that you have tried to leave her nappy off for a time as well. She may have a candida rash. Give her a probiotic such as Reuteri infant drops 5 drops daily for 10 days. Also apply Nystatin cream at least 3 times a day to her rash. If her rash is not better after 5 days try Antipeol nappy cream. If this does not help after a further 5 days please let me know.

My son has bad nappy rash whenever a new tooth cuts. I only use Sudocrem, works wonders within a day or two...and not so costly...just rub some on after every nappy change

Hi,

Not meaning to butt in, I know your question was addressed to Doc, but my daughter also suffered from nappy rashes that took forever to go away.

I left the wipes and cleaned her with cotton wool and water, you might also try Bepanthen that does wonders for any rash. Alternatively she might have thrush and you will have to try something like Mycostatin ointment.
