Hi there, my daughter is 3 and a half months old, she still gives herself frights with her own arms so I swaddle her when she sleeps, when do they outgrow this stage ? And secondly she gets frights so easily, the dog gave a sharp bark the other day and she got such a fright that she cried for almost an half hour, we eventually gave her a small amount of panado because she wouldnt calm down, she fell asleep but still wimpered in her sleep, she startles very easily with loud noise, my son wasn' t like this, is this normal, or is her hearing over sensitive, or is it just her nature or something else?

Your daughter may have very sensitive hearing, but you are describing a normal reflex that very young babies have called the 'startle reflex'. So this is normal. This reflex usually disappears by the age of 3 to 4 months.
