Dear Doc, my son is 17 months old, goes to daycare and suffers a lot from colds. On Friday, he started coughing and we got him lynctagon from the pharmacy. He also had a runny nose. Today, his nose dirt is green but he is not coughing as much. Do we take him to the doctor? He is also on probiotic, Reuteri drops. Thank you Doc

No it is not necessary to take your son to the doctor. He has a bad cold again and this is because he attends the day care where one or other of the children there will have a cold and infect your son. Use a saline nasal spray at least twice daily to clear his nose. Sterimar is usually very effective as a nasal spray for children of this age. Also give him Scotts emulsion daily to boost his immunity.
