frequency of feeding

Hi Doc,
i need to know how many times i should feed my 5 month old baby in a day also,I recently introduced solids and formula although he seemed to prefer breast milk initially and would refuse cereals and formula,he now prefers cereals,he does not want to take formula or breast milk anymore.could he be confused because of all the sudden changes (bottle and spoon) ?am confused and worried because he' s milk intake has diminished (although i add some to his cereals),i know that at this age milk is supposed to be their main source of nutrients.
please advice.

You are aware that your baby's main source of nutrition is his milk. It seems as if he is getting filled up by the solids he is getting now.He should not be offered any solids until he has finished his breast feeding or formula. Give him solids no more than twice day now until he is in the habit of finishing his milk feeds well.
