Formula and Sleeping Question

Good day Doctor. I have 2 questions.

My son is 8 months old (almost 9 months) he is currently on Novalac AC as Nan and Nan HA gave him severe cramps when he was just a few weeks old. He was ok on Lactogen, but everyone told me that it makes babies fat. We put him on the Novalac AC from 6 weeks. He now eats yogurt and diary, like ice cream and custard, cheese etc and it doesn''t seem to give him any cramps. Could I perhaps look at putting him on another type of formula now? Like Nan or Lactogen or perhaps just the normal Novalac?

And my second question is? He is teething  we are on number 8 now. Could this be a reason why he is now not sleeping through anymore? I am up at least 12 times a night for him. Nothing seems to sooth him. I need to pick him up, calm him down and then rock him to sleep. And I have never done this. He also " practices crawling"  in his cot at night, and rolls around a lot, so I don''t know if this is just a phase or if I should be worried. I don''t mind getting up at night for him, but he is exhausted and so am I.

Thank you so much.

You can certainly change your baby's formula to a regular formula now. Lactogen or Novalac are equally good.
I don't think his teething will cause the symptoms he has. It sounds as if he has a reflux problem with acid stomach reflux causing him a lot of discomfort. It would be best to ask your paediatrician to see your baby.
