Q.

formula

Hi doctor, i switched my 4 week old baby from nan pelargon to lactogen. He never had any cramps on pelargon but wasnt keepin him full. When i switched, I mixed the two formulas and he did great. Since on lactogen only, he has had cramps an wind and cries when feeding. Can i mix the formula again and also, does pelargon contain less lactose or why would cramp on lactogen and not pelargon?

You are correct, NAN Pelargon does contain slightly less lactose due to the fermentation process. It does appear that your baby has a lactose intolerance. He will not enjoy being on a lactose free formula such as NAN LF.I am not keen to suggest yet another new formula but the only option seems to be a soya formula such as Isomil.
