Dear Prof

When my baby turned 1 (last month), I changed his NAN Ha to Nido. But it is as if the Nido give him no satisfaction at all. We weren’ t completely off the bottle during the night, but he mostly drank water and some watered down formula. With the Nido, however, he almost drank 2/3 full bottles during the night. He eats loads during the day, all his main meals and snacks and 3 bottles. He did loose some weight 2 months ago, while he was not feeling well and was teething and the sister placed him on a high carbo diet. Which I have been following. Since the weekend I have tried giving him some Novalac SD for his last bottle, just to see whether it makes a difference. It made a small difference. He still wants to drink about 300 –  400 ml (!) before sleeping. I’ m worried. Could he be going through a growth spurt or could he have worms or something or am I not feeding him enough, should I rather try Nan 3? I have been looking for Parmelat’ s First Growth milk, but it seems to be out of stock.

Thank you in advance

I agree that it appears as if your son is getting hungry. The Nido normally is a good follow on formula. Try him on NAN3 and see if this makes a difference, otherwise Parmalat First Growth is a good idea.
