Q.

FONTANELL

My seven month old baby boy was admitted in hosp for early meningitis,his fontanell was a bit bulgy,he was put on a drip,but he has since lost a lot of weight and his fontanell is very active,is there anything i can give him-|-with a fontanell.

I am not sure what you mean by your baby's fontanelle being active. If you mean that his fonatanelle is moving up and down when he cries or with each heartbeat then this is completely normal. A bulging fontanelle is an important sign of meningitis in babies but I presume that your baby is now over this illness, so his fontanelle should no longer be raised. If it is still bulging you should inform the doctor who treated your baby for his meningitis.
