Q.

Flu injection

From what age would you recommend a flu injection.

My little girl is 20 months old, but she is really petite. She only reached 10kg at turning 20 months.

Yes, she is in daycare (since 8 months old) and take cresh guard every weekday. She is generally healthy, but was in hospital twice last year - once brongitis and once with an allergy and ending up with grommets.

Your daughter's weight is only slightly below the average weight for little girls of her age.Children can have the flu vaccine from the age of 6 months upwards. With your daughter's illness last year, being at a creche and with winter coming up she is an ideal candidate for having the flu vaccination.

I took my daughter for a flu shot in June last year, and she was 16 months old.
