Q.

Flu and Cough

My two kids have flu and coughing at the same time. The older one is 3 years _ just started creche this month and pick up the flu from creche  and the other one is 20 months old and she stays home. Took the older one to the Paed, the smaller one didn''t have flu so I didn''t take her with. So now that they all have flu, can I give the smaller one her brother,s medication and reduce the dosage to 2.5ml. The paed gave him Deselex, Zimplex junior, aspelone, flomist and singulair 4mg. And sterimar. Or should I get something over the counter? She doesn''t have a fever but has a runny nose and coughing which I think she got from her brother.

You do not need to give your little girl the medicines her brother was given by the paediatrician.Just keep her nose clear by using a Sterimar nasal spray twice a day and give her Mucospect syrup 5ml twice a day to help her to clear the mucous from her chest. She will get better by herself after a few days.
