If you look at most people you will notice that their lower back curves inwards. When this does not occur the back, or actually the spine, is flat and is called a 'flat back'.People with flat backs may not be able to stand up straight and appear to stoop forwards. Usually it is not necessary to treat this condition but it would be best to consult an orthopaedic specialist experienced with children about your son's flat back. At the same time you should discuss his flat feet.
