You need to be sure about the diagnosis as there are other causes of fits in children of this age especially epilepsy. Children of this age do get fever fits. The usual cause of the high fever is an ear infection. The fever gets to 39C or higher before the fits occur. These fits can occur again. Please ask your doctor if he/she is sure that this is the correct diagnosis and what you must do if your child gets a fever in the future.
