Q.

Fish

Good day Doctor,
I would like to know from what age can you give a baby fish to eat. She is eating all her veggies and chicken but for some reason she does not like red meat. So I would like to introduce another " meat"  fish to her. I myself am not a big fish eater so I only have Fishfingers and Tuna in the house would this be appropriate to give to her?
Thank you.

Some paediatricians now recommend that babies can start eating fish from the age of 6 months.Previously parents were advised to wait until their baby was 12 months before doing so. There is no doubt that fish is very good for children's brain development so if there is no history of fish allergy in your family, you can start your baby on fish at any age from 6 months onwards.
