we just arrived in saudi arabia a week ago and my five year old daughter has a fever wih temperatures ranging from 37.7 to 38.4 degrees. she has had the fever for almost two days now and has no other runny nose, sore throat or aches and pains except for a pain in her ''tummy'' every few hours. she is eating a little less than normally and has had regular bowel movements as well. Please help. Im not sure what to do..i gave her calpol and stopayne(on different occasions) and gave her a paracetamol suppository last night. her temperature was 37.7 when i checked now. Should i take her to the hospital or sit the fever out?must i sponge her down under the shower?

It is always important to take note of a child's fever. It is very possible that your little daughter has developed a urinary system infection. It would be better if she could be seen by a doctor and have her urine tested.
