Q.

Fever, vomiting &  discharge form eyes

Hi Dr
My 20 month old boy has been having severe fever peaks and discharge from his eyes for about 3 days. He also vomited twice and is just not himself.

His eyes are also swollen and he looks sick. He is not eating like he always does. What can it be? Please advise!

It is important that your little boy is seen by a doctor. With his high fever, vomiting and discharge from his eyes he could have an illness such as measles. Another possibility is meningitis. There are also other possibile causes which need to be excluded. Please do not wait, take your son to be seen by a doctor even if you have to take him to an after hours emergency medical clinic.
