Q.

Fever Blister

I am the same person who asked the previous question. If i think about it there is something else that my son has - he has got a fever blister that has been on his lip for over 3 weeks now. I hadnt taken him to the doc for it because it was looking better and is now looking bad again and seems to be bothering him today. It hasnt gotten worse and its not blister like.

Paediatrician

The most likely cause of your baby's fever blister is a virus infection called herpes stomatitis. As this blister has been present for over 3 weeks which is very unusual, your baby should be seen by your paediatrician.
