Fever &  Vomiting

Hi Doc

My 13month old boy suddenly started vomiting mildly when eating since yesterday morning and by late afternoon developed a temperature of 39.3. After giving him Calpol his temperature went back to normal and was still fine when he woke up. His temperature however increased to 38.7 throughout the morning agasin and even though he is eating and drinking he still starts vomiting at a point (he is eating about a quarter of what he usually does, but is still drinking well - he is however miserable and clingy). I gave him a valoid suppository and some Nurofen this morning. Do I continue treating him with these medications at home, or how long do I wait it out to take him to a doctor?

Your son may have tonsillitis as his symptoms are very suggestive of this illness. Please take him to see his doctor. The weekend is approaching and you will have difficulty if he needs treatment over the weekend. He has a very high fever.

FC I wonder if we are in the same city - all 3 my kids have exactly the same symptoms. Took the worst one to the doc this am, said treat with empaped and valoid for 24hours then reassess.
