Q.

Fever

HI,

My daughter (2 years old) has had a fever for the passed 4-5 days. Her temp has been around 38+ degrees. She has no other symptoms, no sore throat, runny tummy or paid. She just gets these fever spells starting early evening and then usually clearing by mid morning. During the day it' s not so bad. She has also been sleeping a bit more than usual. Her nap time was usually around 1-2 hours now it is 3-4 hours. Last night she was a little lathargic as well. This morning however she is fine. Happy and smiling. She had fever till around 10am and then it broke. She is napping now again and if her pattern follows through she will probably wake up with fever again.

I have been giving her panado for the fever the fever doesn' t break until morning?

Should I be concerned? What could the cause of this be? Should I see a doc?

Pls advise

There is always a cause for a significant fever like this. In a little girl I would always suspect a urinary tract infection with the story as given here. She should be seen by her doctor.
