Q.

Feet

Dear Doc. My son is 18 months old. For about 2 weeks now, he stands on his tip toes, when he has shoes on and when he is bare foot. I have checked under his feet and there is nothing. This morning after he woke up he started rubbing his feet, and looked rather distressed. I put his shoes on and he walked around, he seemed fine after that. Any suggestions?

Walking on tip toes is very common at this age. In the majority of cases this tendency to toe walking simply disappears. If he is still toe walking at 2 years then he should be seen by a physiotherapist.
