Q.

feeding schedule

hi Doc,
Please advise, how often should a 5 month old eat/drink
He is on breastmilk in the morning and evening.

6am drinks
10-11am 150ml of formula
13:00 3 teaspoons of rice cereal (started this week)
15:00 150ml of formula
19:00 drinks again

Is this enough? or am i overfeeding him?
Thank you in advance

Your baby needs 140ml for every kilogram he weighs per day. He breast feeds twice a day and has 300ml of formula per day.If his weight is 7.5kg which is the average for his age, he needs 140ml x7.5 = 1040ml of milk per day.He is now also on 3 teaspoons of rice cereal. You certainly do not appear to be overfeeding your baby son.
