Feeding - 3 week old

My son is 3 weeks old. Took him for his weigh in &  was told he''s being overfed (he put on weight as apposed to loosing as he shld have).

He''s on formula &  I feed him when he''s hungry - usually every 3 - 4 hours.

What am i doing wrong &  how do i rectify it.

Babies first lose some weight in the first few days after birth. This is usually for no more than 7 to 10 days. Then babies start putting on weight again. There is no need for you to be concerned. You and your baby are doing well.

Hi Fats
How much weight is too much?
I would think as long as the baby is healthy and growing, he is only 3 weeks old

Hi Fats, I wouldnt worry if I were you, you feeding him as should. As long as your baby is healthy, I dont see why there would be a problem and need to change anything. Once they start teething and crawling etc, they tend to lose weight in any case.
