Q.

Feeding

Hello Doc

Hope you are ok. My son is 16 months. Since he turned one I introduced diluted juice during lunch. For the past 3 days after drinking his juice he burps constantly and spit a bit of juice. What can be the cause. I have been using the same brand.

Thank you and have a lovely weekend.

Children are very sensitive to the acidity of fruit juices and this could well be the main reason for his burping. Another possibility is a reaction to the amount of fructose which is the natural fruit sugar. If there is a preservative in the fruit juice he may be reacting to this. All in all this means you need to change to another kind of fruit juice such as apple which also must be diluted half and half with water.
