Q.

feeding

My baby is about 7 weeks old now. When we give him his bottle he tends to fall asleep as we feed him. We try to keep him awake but it is not very successful. When i take the bottle out he starts to moan and as soon as i place it back in his mouth he starts to fall asleep again. Is it ok to leave him to drink his bottle on his own time or should we try to get him to finish it within reasonable hour. Also is it fine to leave him to finish his bottle when he is lying down?

You must not leave your baby to finish his feed by himself.Your baby seems to fall asleep after drinking his bottle for a while. If he is gaining weight well then he is probably getting enough formula and then falls asleep. He must get used to sleeping without the bottle still being in his mouth.
