Q.

Facial nerve vs. Facial expression?

Dear Dr

My 20 month old baby is pulling her face - similar to that of stroke patients - when she laughs or cries - but her face is straight sometimes. Family &  friends are telling me to check it. Could it be a nerve?

Should I have it checked out?

Yes you should definitely have your baby checked if you suspect that she is not moving her face normally on one side. She should be seen by a paediatrician.
