eyes tearing

my baby is 5 and half months,i have been to the doctors 5times coz of her eyes,they tear without her crying 2-4 times a day,at times they hava a discharge.the last doc i saw gave me eyedrops to use for two weeks three times a day,two drops in each eye plus showed me how to massage a certain point in the eye because he suspects the tear duct is blocked.if it is so, and i do not want surgery,can they open up as she grows up?

Your baby almost certainly has blocked tear ducts. Continue to gently massage the nose side corner of both of her eyes as you were shown by the doctor. This is usually very successful in opening up the blocked tear ducts and helps to prevent an operation.
