Q.

Eyes rolling

Hi Doc,
I am really concerned as my daughter who is 21 months old was staning in her room on Saterday late morning and all of a sudden rolled her eyes...more to the side. Since then i have seen her do it twice, but the other time was just before she fell asleep - she was lying in her cot. Then the other time was just before her bath at bedtime. It seems to happen when she is tired. She has no other symptoms and her development has been great - text book great. I had the nuschal scan done at 23 weeks and they said all was great there. What do you think this could be?

Paediatrician

It is difficult to be sure without being able to see your child but you do need to exclude a form of epilepsy known as 'absence episodes'. Also sometimes children who have a problem with their vision may roll their eyes.So it would be best to ask your paediatrician to see her just to be sure.
