Q.

eye infection

Good afternoon.

My baby is 2 month and has eye infection and the doctor prescribed zaditen syrup o.2 mg ( ketotifen) and gentamicine.

while searching internet i found some sites saying the children under 3 years shouldnt take zaditen. is that true , why? what about gentamicine? HELP?

You are correct and you should not use Zaditen syrup in such a young baby. If the doctor wants to give your baby an antihistamine medicine then he/she should consider using Zyrtec drops for infants.The Gentamycin eye drops are safe to use for your baby
