EYE INFECTION

Hi there, my 10 month old daughter is having an eye infection. I took her to the dr last week and she was given eye drops. The thing is that she always strecthes her eyes and they become pink and swollen. How long will it take for her to heal or is there anthing else I can do to help her. Worried mother.

There must be a reason why your baby is getting repeated eye infections. She may have a problem with blocked tear ducts. It would be worthwhile taking her to see a paediatric ophthalmologist [eye specialist] If you do not have a medical aid then your baby can be seen at your nearest state hospital with an outpatient paediatric department.
