Q.

Eye Doctor

Hi Prof

I wrote previously about my 3 yr old complaining about various pains. THe last week or so he has been saying his one eye is sore. But on and off. He''ll complain in the morning and then later on he''ll say it''s fine. It doesn''t look red or swollen, but I just want to make sure nothing is wrong. Should I take him to our GP, Paed or an optometrist or opthamologist?
I thought it might be an allergy or something, but he is already taking deselex in the evenings and nasonex in the mornings?

Thanks

When 3 year olds are very specific as to where they have pain as with your son and his eye, it is important to take notice about this complaint. It would be best to ask an ophthalmologist, preferably a paediatric ophthalmologist to see him.
