Q.

Exzema

Hi Doc

My 7 month old daughter has exzema - I bath her in epizone-e and apply physiogel to her skin after bathing.

Is it a bad idea to expose her to (indoor heated) swimming pool water? I' m thinking about what effect the chlorine may have on her skin? I know that it is not possible nor wise to wrap her in cotton wool all the time, but please will you advise if it is definately a " no no" .

Thank you

You should be able to let your baby swim in this pool. The chlorine often is quite beneficial as it keeps the skin clear of infection but sometimes has a drying effect on the skin.It is worthwhile seeing how she is once she has been in this pool.
