Q.

Extreme emotions

My 6 year old son seems to go from extremes ... extreme excitement, to extreme anger in a matter of seconds. He' s been to therapy for a year - but nothings changed. Would medication help?

Paediatrician

Your son needs to be properly assessed. In particular he needs to be carefully evaluated and a decision made as to whether he has any features of the autism syndrome. He must be seen by a paediatric neurologist.
