Q.

Excema

Hi Professor,

What is a good treatment for Excema? I have heard that Mylocort and Allergex would work okay.

Thank you.

You are correct. Mylocort is a safe low strength cortisone ointment which is used to treat the eczema rash in children. Allergex is a sedating antihistamine and is not recommneded for children under 2 years of age. The most important way to treat eczema is to moisturise the skin using a good moisturiser especially after bathing such as Epimax cream.
