Q.

Eggs

What are the effects of eggs in babies, my child is 6 months old and the sister at the clinic said we should start giving her eggs so that they can know if she has a reaction before they give her the 9month vaccine. She said the 9 month vaccine contains eggs. At what age can i start giving my child eggs

You should not give your baby egg before the age of 12 months. There is no egg in the measles vaccine. She can safely have this immuniation.

Everybody is saying up intil when you should not be giving the baby eggs, but no-one is saying why not. Can the Paed please explain to us. Is it safe to give babies cheese?

Hi Mom

Now I' m confused.

Please check my post (913). The paed on this site said no egg and cheese before 1 year.

Good luck.

I don' t really know what the fuss is all about with eggs, but were also reading somewhere that eggs and cheese are no good for babies before 9 months.
