Q.

Egg White Allergy

Dear doctor,

My son has just been diagnosed with Egg White Allergy. What does this mean for him? Will this affect his ecema or sinus?

The white of the egg is the protein part of the egg. Most childen who are allergic to eggs are allergic to the white of the egg. Your son should avoid eating eggs. Egg allergy usually shows by aggravating eczema in children who do have eczema.
