Eczema on 3yr old' s penis

My 3 and a half year old seems to have eczema on the under side of his penis and onto his testicles.

He does touch his penis a lot and we constantly remind him to leave it alone and to wash his hands a lot so he doesn' t spread germs to that area.

He has the odd (1 or 2) rash like spots on the top of the penis and the dry red skin underneath.

I have booked an appt with a urologist to assess this situation but unfortunatley the first available appt is next week.

I am applying Fissan paste on it as I thought the zinc in bum creams may help and it seems to have helped.

Have you come across this before, does it sound like anything else to you? Any advice?

This may not be eczema but may rather be due to a candida infection. Has he had antibiotics recently? If he has then candida is likely. Apply Nystatin cream 3 times daily to the rash and give him a children's chewable probiotic tablet such as Probiflora once daily for 10 days.
