Q.

Eating Problems

My 12 Month old baby refuses to take food because of teething and this has been going on for a week now. He has Diarrhea , he poops 3-4 times a day. Should i see a paediatrion for this - Or can i get a remedy over the counter.

It would be worthwhile trying mild treatment first. Give your baby a good probiotic such as Reuterina 5 drops daily for 10 days. Also give him frequent sips of an electrolyte solution such as Rehidrat to replace body salts which he is losing with the diarrhoea.He must not have any fruit juices to drink. If he is no better by Friday he should be seen by his doctor.

Same things happened when my son was teething. I was advised to give him pediasure when he refused to eat.
