Good Day Doctor.
My child is 3 yrs old and really a fussy/bad eater.
She use to be given porridge at school but they decided to remove this and now she needs breakfast at home. Problem is she refuses to eat at home - school is the only place she will eat. She eats a cooked meal there for lunch and will then not eat when she comes home only drinks her Isomil. Weekends she will not eat for the day. She does have vidalyn with iron or a multivitamin every night. I am bery concerned about her. she eats no meat, fish or polutry>  only frozen veg :)
She currently weighs 13.5kg. Can i give her a supplement like pediaure for breakfast? How can i increase her appetite?

I am also concerned about your little 3 year old daughter who is very underweight and really hardly eats.If she did not eat the lunch at school she would hardly be eating anything at all.Why is she still on Isomil at her age?You can try to improve her appetite by giving her Scotts emulsion daily and also give her a probiotic to boost her immunity.
Try to tempt her with foods she seems to like.If there is no improvement in her appetite within 3 to 4 weeks she should be checked by a paediatrician to make sure she is well and does not have anaemia or some other reason for her poor appetite.
