Q.

Ear wax

Good day,

The last 2 times my 4 year old son was sick, the GP' s commented that they could not see his eardrums because of build up of wax. I was told to use Waxol. I did that and nothing happened. I am now concerned that this could be affecting his hearing as he speaks loudly and often asks me to repeat myself. What is the best way to remove this wax? Is syringing advisable? I don' t want to take him to an audiologist if the ear wax build up could be the problem. Thanks.

Syringing is indeed the best way to clear this wax if Waxol did not help. Your GP should be able to do this.
