Q.

ear infection?

My 2 and half year old has had a fever for the last two days but with no other symptoms that i can see. she has been scratching in her one ear alot though, but if i ask her if its sore, she says its fine. the fever has gone now, but i''m worried that she might have an ear infection. can i leave it or what concerns me is that she has an infection that if i leave it, it might damage her hearing. she''s never had an ear infection in her life before so i have no idea what its all about. must i take her to a gp, or an ent? thank u

It is quite possible that your little girl has an ear infection as she is scratching in one of her ears and has had a fever recently. It would be best to ask Your GP to see her just to be on the safe side.
