Q.

dry nose

Good morning Doc!
My 18mnth old son has a constant dry nose, there''s always dry mucus in it, which blocks his nose up, some nights it sounds like his snoring. I''ve used Saline drops, but not constantly, should i just continue with it and is it normal to have a constant dry nose with mucus, is it just the air?? At times there''s slight spots of blood, which is probably caused by the dryness? pls advise?

You should continue to use the saline nose drops or spray at least twice a day.Salex or Sterimar for children are both very effective, so you can choose which one you prefer to use. Also use a humidifier in his bedroom at night. You only need to use water in the humidifier in order to increase the humidity in his bedroom.
