Q.

Does not want a bottle

Hi, doc

My 6 months baby is refusing a bottle completley now, he is sticking his gums together when we try to bottlefed him or cry for his dear life. I am still beastfeeding him but only in the afternoon cause i am a working mom.I have tried feeding cup but no luck.
He is on cream of maize in the morning and night, a bottle of purity for the day and little bit of water.

What i know is he still need his milk at this age please help.
I am so worried he weigh 8kg at the moment.

Your baby son's weight is almost exactly on the average graph line for his age so there is no need for concern about his nutrition at this stage.I presume that you have tried various kinds of teats on his bottle such as the NUK teat.How do you give the water to him?In the meantime if he simply refuses all kinds of bottles/teats you have no option but to continue with breast feeding.
