Hi dr, my almost 10 month old wont breastfeed at all during the day. I think she is just SO active that she refuses to lie still to feed. She is on a very good routine of solids though, but she will breastfeed between 2-3 times during the course of the night. My worry is that if I keep breastfeeding during the night and pick her up every time to drink, she will never learn to sleep through. But I also have to use the time to get her to take in as much milk as possible since she doesn''t drink any during the daytime! Do I just continue to offer her breast during the night when she gets fussy?

This is indeed a difficult problem for you.Your baby does need her milk and she is hardly taking any milk during the day.The short term solution does seem to be to carry on as usual especially if you can keep your baby's feeds down to two at night.
