Q.

Diarrhoea

Hi Professor,

Is it possible that milk and yoghurt give my 2 year old son diarrhoea? I gave him Rooibos tea with some milk in this morning and he ate 3 x 125ml yoghurts at once and now he has diarrhoea. Perhaps the yoghurt was too rich for him. It is the fruit one.

Milk and any dairy products can cause diarrhoea in children with lactose intolerance or even a milk allergy. Try your son on soya milk and soya yoghurt and see if he can tolerate soya milk.
